Coffee With Best Of The Muse 2023
If you were having coffee with me, I would wish you a happy New Year… we made it.
2023 had its highs and lows, and for those who are regular visitors to my tangle of words, you have had front row seat to my lived experiences. A running joke with some friends is on how I seem to have a blog post for practically everything – Thing is, I write more than I talk and apparently I write with Tall Person Energy –
If you were having coffee with me, I would tell you that I am a writer – its not what I do – its who I am. So I write, because I don’t know how not to. This thing tells me that I made 165 posts in 2023 🥳 I must have had a lot to say…
It’s a new day, a new year and before we look forward maybe a glance in the rear view mirror helps us see where we have been to best know where we are going. The other day I was feeling a bit like this teapot shaped country is a bit of dream killer especially if you are not connected to the ruling elite… but each day we show up and play the cards we are dealt and dreams – A dream deferred is not a dream denied.
I used to do Best Of The Year posts in December but this year decided to try out a new tradition, beginning the year with a post which show cases my posts over the past year – Best Of The Muse 2023
Almost every week of the year I have done a coffeeshare post which is a catchup post over a virtual cup of coffee..
I read books and review them. Here’s my reviews from 2023
When I am not reading or writing I do enjoy watching TV and movies, reviewing those that catch my fancy
Movie Reviews
TV Series Reviews
The month with most number of posts is June, when I participate in the Afrobloggers Blogging Challenge dubbed as WinterABC and theme for this year was around gathering around the warmth of a fire…
Full disclosure I didn’t write all 165 posts, some were guest post submissions…. And yes Becoming The Muse is open to guest post submissions incase you need that spelt out you can read the T’sandC’s here… Below is a carousel of my 2023 guest posts.
If you were having coffee with me I would ask if you noticed that I started embedding a podcast feed to my posts so you can listen to me read my posts. I initially started it as a way to proofread my articles by reading out loud then I started recording it and now the audio feed finds its way onto my blog. Dare I ask how I sound? Initially listening to the recordings made me want to apologise to anyone I had ever spoken to – but I think its growing on me. 😂
Whats been happening in your neck of the woods? Compliments of the New Year
