Of Dragon In Love

It was like standing next to a blast furnace,
one that can you warm you or burn you to a crisp.

Come closer, she whispered.

This must be what a moth felt like.
Drawn hopelessly to burn

She looked like a wind goddess,
one that could set the world ablaze with a breath.
and yet chose to be gentle with me.

Even dragons fall in love.

YOu’ve been on a real poetry kick. Anything in particular driving it?

I usually keep my poetry as drafts in my notepad with the intention of further developing it.. and I have realised that I never get round to doing that, so now I just capture it in its raw state as the inspiration strikes… before I over think it šŸ˜‚
