Of God Mode: Windows Cheat Code

God Mode: Windows Cheat Code

If you grew up playing video games, God Mode meant one thing: unlimited power. Infinite ammo, invincibility, endless lives, basically becoming the digital equivalent of an all-powerful, immortal.  All you had to do was type in a secret cheat code, and suddenly the rules no longer applied to you. Bliss.

But did you know Windows 10 and Windows 11 have their own version of God Mode? No, it won’t give you laser eyes or make your computer indestructible. But it will unlock a hidden control panel, that gives you powerful oversight, of your computer’s settings, all from one place.

Changes to the user-interface on current iterations of the Windows OS, have moved settings around that they are no longer intuitive to find and configure… I first came across God Mode, back when Windows 7 entered the chat and am glad to see that it still works on Windows 11.

What is God Mode on Windows?

Think of it as the ultimate Control Panel an everything-everywhere-all-at-once collection of over 200 settings, tools, and system configurations. Instead of clicking through menus like a digital archaeologist. God Mode gathers all those controls in a single list.

How to Enable God Mode on Windows

1. Create a new folder on your desktop
Right-click your desktop → New → Folder.

2. Rename the folder with the God Mode activation code
Copy and paste this exactly:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

3. God Mode Folder
The folder transforms into a Control Panel-style icon with no name and clicking it shows shortcuts to different settings and options organised by category.

If you miss the old Control Panel or prefer efficiency over Windows 11’s more… scenic routes, God Mode feels like coming home. Its also a great as a checklist for optimising or troubleshooting a PC.

Is God Mode Safe?

Yes. God Mode doesn’t unlock anything dangerous, it simply aggregates existing settings. You can’t break Windows unless you go clicking things you don’t understand (but that’s true in any part of life really).

Is this something you would tinker with or you don’t even know what kind of OS your computer uses…

Thanks B! This is definitely something I’ll be using. Ever since 8, I’ve been finding that I have to google “where is X….” whenever I want to find a specific setting. Windows is really taking control away from its users, that is for sure. So this will help take a tiny bit back.

Be afraid to use links from strangers on the internet, unless they are trustworthy, like me, but thats exactly what a hacker infiltrating your security protocols would say…
And if someone not you is making changes, you might need to sign everything out and change passwords to make sure its only you signed in…. (if you havent done so already)

Thanks on the info to sign everything out. I do change passwords often, and on some media, two step verification. Still the hassle at times I swear…the wicked ones were born to bother my soul. Have a wonderful week ahead.

Oh yes, in this case first sign out of everything and also review apps and software that have asked for read and write permission cause sometimes thats how they sneak back in so that simply changing password might not eliminate the malicious ones as they stay logged on despite 2FA…
so just check how to log out everything everywhere then add back as necessary…

        Have a lovely week yourself

Hi, friend. I had a little scholarship. You do not want to write academically, so I went ahead and published this paper: https://www.ijssar.com/uploads/306722_1759530192.pdf

I’ve been all over the internet lookig for certin types of posts. The I ran into a powerful literature magazine, https://substack.com/@africanliterature4academicsphere/p-181350218

They asked and I told them that you have some posts about ancient Yuroba and Igbo cultures, such as armies and judiciary systems. They refused to take your link from me, and told me to ask you to contact them yourself. They would share your posts and bring more traffic to your blog. You can contact them by responding to the above post. Please mention that I gave you the message — it would help me because I am applying for a little scholarship they can offer.
