High Potential’s Ships
I usually do my reviews after I finish watching a series and since I wrote my review of High Potential when it went on its Winter Break, after finishing the Season Finale, I found myself restless and wrote this post…
As the series follows an episodic formula on a crime of the week premise my previous review still holds true….
Besides its light-hearted nature, one of the things I found interesting about this series was the ingenious way Morgan would visualise how a particular scene went down with either her or the characters in question superimposed to the narration…

Sometimes it was the correct character and sequence of events, other times a new clue or evidence would change the hypothesis, and there would be an updated iteration of what went down.
Love entanglements
I am curious where the script writers intend to take Morgan’s love life on one hand she is co-parenting with an Ex, who seems so comfortably domesticated that it almost seems like they just might get back together, on that for the sake of the family tip.

Then there was an office romance blooming with Tom who was a janitor at the LAPD, which is kinda cute considering Morgan is initially introduced as a cleaning lady… Anyway Tom gets an out of town placement which may or may not nip a budding long-distance relationship in the bud.

And then there is Morgan and her partner Karadec, on a will-they-wont-they situation that seems to be cooking up into a slow burn best-friendship maybe more….

But what if the missing love of her life, Roman shows up?????….Considering the bombshell on which ends season 1 ends. 💣
High Potential has been renewed for a season 2, although no dates have been confirmed yet, the show secured a spot on ABC’s 2025-2026 schedule meaning either late this year or early next year Morgan will waltz back onto our screens.
For those following the show what Morgan-ship are you shipping?
