Bad Influencer
Zimbabwean-born screenwriter, director, producer and actress Kudi Maradzika is the creator of the upcoming Netflix South Africa series Bad Influencer which premieres on Netflix on the 31st of October 2025.

Bad Influencer teases to be a blend of crime, comedy, a mother’s love and the chaos of the influencer life. The premise of the show is centred around BK (played by Jo-Anne Reyneke), a small-time con artist and single mother trying to provide for her son with special needs, who teams up with Pinky (Cindy Mahlangu), a wannabe luxury influencer and their resultant hustle attracts the attention of the police and crime syndicates. How long can they stay in the game?

The cast boasts an ensemble of South African talent including Thapelo Mokoena, Hamilton Dlamini, Aubrey Poo and more with the 2019 Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi making her professional acting debut. The creative spark that birthed this story comes from Kudi Maradzika who is the creator, writer and executive producer of the show alongside others and Nosipho Ngoasheng Dumisa who also directed the popular Netflix series Blood & Water.
In a world where filters, followers, and brands dominate our timelines, and scandals have broken out with influencers endorsing some questionable endeavours, Bad Influencer promises to hold up a mirror reflecting both the absurdity and the allure of the influencer era…
Are we scheduling up to binge watch from the 31st of October?
