Becoming The Muse

I see you from a distance,
And know that you are mine,
My heart beats at the thought of you,
And I know yours does too,
When I close my eyes to sleep,
You disappear from beside me,
And suddenly,
I see your face in my dreams,
And your dreams have me in then,
If I whispered my love into the sky,
I know you would look up,
And smile,
As I smile each morning,
When I wake up,
The sunshine in my life.
