African Reggae Hip-Hop visionary Menelik Nesta Gibbons, aka Don Dada returns with a resonant and timely new single titled “PEACE”, a bold sonic offering for an era marked by unrest, division, and fading compassion.

PEACE is an interpolation of of the classic Bob Marley track “War” – credits to Allan “Skill” Cole (idea) and Carlton “Carly” Barrett (music) the music is an extension of the one-drop drumming style which Barrett had either invented, or at least developed and refined.
PEACE transforms the legendary Bob Marley message into a 21st-century call for unity. Where Marley proclaimed that injustice fuels conflict, Don Dada counters with a fresh truth: peace is a choice — an act of courage, a conscious revolution.
“We’ve been chanting war for generations… It’s time we chant peace with the same strength — because peace is power, and love is the only revolution that wins. After all, love is a universal language.”

Produced by the renowned Blacker Dread (Steve Burnett-Martin) of Blacker Dread Music, the track carries the spirit of legacy and lived purpose. A beloved figure in Brixton, Blacker Dread is known for guiding generations of youth through music and mentorship, his presence adding unmistakable depth and authenticity to Don Dada’s message.
The single was coordinated by Leroy Scarlett of the Reggae Powerhouse Band, blending classic roots reggae instrumentation with Don Dada’s unmistakable African Reggae–Hip-Hop cadence. The result is a spiritually charged rhythm that bridges the Caribbean and the African continent with seamless ease.
PEACE reinforces Don Dada’s lifelong creative mandate — a commitment woven through previous works such as his acclaimed double album The Heart & The Mind and his uplifting project Forward We Continue. His music consistently champions healing, unity, and transformation.

“Peace is not passive,” Don Dada reflects. “It’s action — it’s us choosing love when fear tries to divide us.”
