Of Moonlit Nites (ii)

Looking up at the starry night,
of the midnite sky,
I see a big shiny disc of light,
that shines high,
and shines bright,
like a guardian’s giant eye,
watching over all in sight,
with a gentle sigh,
it seems to breathe,
and whisper a soft breeze,
that rustles leaves in trees,
in a dance to silent music,
lit up by many a thousand moonbeams,
that shine brightest in the darkest hour,
in an unspoken promise that we are never alone,
when the moon shines full,
big and round,
I see your face in its bounds,
like the moon lights up the night,
when you there am never in the dark,
you light up my life…
